Katy Perry and Russell Brand have come to an agreement on their divorce and have reached a settlement. Brand filed for divorce in December, and listed irreconcilable differences as the reason for the filing. The pair married in India in October 2010.
The couple had no prenuptial agreement, and therefore needed to divide their assets on their own terms after the divorce. Perry had requested that a judge ban Brand from receiving any form of spousal support from her, since the pop singer earns a much larger income than the actor. The judge granted her request.
Brand is not seeking any money from Perry in their separation and they have both been able to agree on everything. Katy Perry wants to legally return to her maiden name of Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson, and has put in a motion to do so.
